Chiral critical behavior of 3D lattice fermionic models with quartic interactions

چکیده

We study the critical behavior of three-dimensional Gross-Neveu (GN) model with ${N}_{f}$ four-component Dirac fermionic flavors and quartic interactions, at chiral ${\mathbb{Z}}_{2}$ transition in massless ${\mathbb{Z}}_{2}$-symmetric limit. For this purpose, we consider a lattice GN staggered Kogut-Susskind fermions scalar field coupled to bilinear operator, which effectively realizes attractive four-fermion interaction. perform Monte Carlo simulations for ${N}_{f}=4$, 8, 12, 16. By means finite-size scaling analyses numerical data, obtain estimates exponents, are compared large-${N}_{f}$ predictions obtained using continuum theory. observe substantial agreement. This confirms that models provide nonperturbative realization quantum theory, even though interactions explicitly break flavor $\mathrm{U}({N}_{f})\ensuremath{\bigotimes}\mathrm{U}({N}_{f})$ symmetry is only recovered

Fermionic Atoms with Tunable Interactions in a 3d Optical Lattice

The exploration of quantum degenerate gases of fermionic atoms is driven by the ambition to gain deeper insight into long-standing problems of quantum many-body physics. So far, however, the analogy to an electron gas in a solid is limited since there the electrons experience a periodic lattice potential. The lattice structure is in fact a key ingredient for most models describing quantum many-...

Critical behavior of simplicial chiral models.

The large-N saddle-point equations for the principal chiral models defined on a d − 1 dimensional simplex are derived from the external field problem for unitary integrals. The saddle point equation are studied analytically and numerically in many relevant instances, including d = 4 and d → ∞, with special attention to the critical domain, which is found to correspond to βc = 1/d for all d. A set of exactly solvable fermionic spin-S Ising Model lattice with quartic interaction

We present a set of exactly solvable fermionic spin-S Ising model on a square-type lattice including a quartic interaction term in the Hamiltonian, using an auxiliary mixed fermionic spin-(S,1/2) square-type lattice with only first nearest-neighbor interaction. The particular properties of the mixed lattice, associated to the fermionic mixed spin-(S,1/2), allow us to map this system either into...

Critical behavior of ferromagnetic spin models with aperiodic exchange interactions

We review recent investigations of the critical behavior of ferromagnetic q-state Potts models on a class of hierarchical lattices, with exchange interactions according to some deterministic but aperiodic substitution rules. The problem is formulated in terms of exact recursion relations on a suitable parameter space. The analysis of the fixed points of these equations leads to a criterion to g...

Classical critical behavior of spin models with long-range interactions

We present the results of extensive Monte Carlo simulations of Ising models with algebraically decaying ferromagnetic interactions in the regime where classical critical behavior is expected for these systems. We corroborate the values for the exponents predicted by renormalization theory for systems in one, two, and three dimensions and accurately observe the predicted logarithmic corrections ...
